Last week on my Facebook page, I announced some really big news and I just had to share it here on the blog with even more info! I am now all moved in to a new location, sharing studio space with my dear friend and fellow photographer, Sarah Landry! Sarah and I have worked together assisting each other photographing weddings and have attended a number of workshops together. Now that we’ve combined all our props, backdrops and other items in one location we are over the moon to be able to serve our clients beyond what we could ever do completely on our own. While we will still remain two separate business, everything you see in the studio is 100% shared:)

The studio is conveniently located at 199 Lisbon St in Lisbon, Maine on the first floor. We have options for three different shooting rooms that can accommodate newborn sessions, maternity sessions, and family sessions. In addition to the indoor space, we have a fantastic yard that includes some amazing apple trees for perfect outdoor photos. New moms will also enjoy a cozy room filled with an amazing array of wraps, blankets, baskets, buckets and more while they enjoy our glider rocker making nursing in a new place so comfortable! A changing table for infants and toddlers is stocked with diapers and wipes and a full bathroom offers the convenience of a tub after a cake smash session. In our back storage, we even have a few toddler outfit options as well as maternity gowns for those expecting mums.

So, remember back a couple posts ago where I mentioned our neighbors and their boys having babies recently. Well, you’ve already met Violet, now it’s Killian’s turn:)  Now Killian probably should’ve been a blog post before Violet, but this sweet girl had other plans for coming into this world. Yes, she was born first, but she was born six weeks early!  She actually wasn’t due until after Violet and has only been home from the hospital for a couple weeks. This also means that technically she’s not a newborn, but she is definitely still tiny enough to play the part. And since she’s a little older, that also meant I would need to work pretty hard for every shot. This little one is not a big fan of sleeping and just has her own set of rules that everyone else has got to follow.

While I knew that Jill was expecting, it was a bit of surprise that she was back in Maine for Miss Abby’s birth after living in another state for a bit. Thanks to the magic of social media, we were able to quickly connect and I shot a few photos while mom and babe were still in the hospital. Fast forward a week or so and Jill brought the whole family to the studio for Abigail’s newborn session. We definitely hoped for a great sibling shot with her big brother, but he definitely had other ideas. So enjoy his quick appearance in this sneak peek, because it’s the ONLY shot he made it into!  Abigail was a bit more cooperative, but definitely made me work for it too!

When we bought our house a little more than ten years ago, I never would’ve guessed that we would be blessed with neighbors who would so quickly become more like family. Which of course also means that it was hard to imagine their teenage boys growing up and having babies of their own just a week or so apart! Well, that very thing happened and I couldn’t have been more excited to gift each baby girl with their very first photo session. First up is Violet’s sneak peek; a perfect model for her session at just four days old.

Two years ago I met a tiny little girl named Lux during one of my hospital visits. She and her parents quickly became some of my favorite clients to have in the studio, so I was so excited when I found out Lux was going to have a baby sister. Lux was one of the easiest newborns I have ever photographed. Baby sister Mila definitely had other ideas. She much preferred to be awake and would rather eat than pose;) A lot of patience and a bit of swaddling and rocking and we managed to get some beautiful shots<3

Izzi’s Lele had a very important session need. Miss Izzi NEEDED her photo taken in this fantastic dress her Memere had made. But in order for this to happen, we had a few obstacles to overcome.

1. The session had to be inside…and soon.

2. Izzi HATES photo shoots.

3. Izzi does NOT like dressing up (and I think all this tulle makes her a little crazy).

The solutions actually came fairly easy.

1. New studio backdrop was ordered and we squeezed Izzi in just a couple hours before heading to NewYork for Thanksgiving.

2. Papi HATES his photo taken too, but appeased Izzi and jumped in a few shots.

3. Skittles for breakfast and Izzi will dress up in whatever you want!

Here are a few favorites<3

When Katie and I decided on a date to schedule her family session after a ridiculously warm October, we had no idea that this would turn out to be the coldest day of the year so far!  Thankfully, this family is full of troopers and totally pulled through. Of course, we worked as quickly as possible and I couldn’t have been happier to spend this short time with them. Katie’s family is always happy and just a joy to be around. Thank you guys for making a very chilly morning so fun!

I first met Kassondra about ten years ago when she volunteered as a junior coach when we first started our rec cheering program. She was then and still is one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met. She always has a smile on her face and is always willing to go out of her way to make people happy. This was again evident during her engagement session when we crossed paths with one of her students. I couldn’t help but smile as Kassondra strayed from Tony and I to scoot to the level of a little boy who was quite confused to see his teacher in a different setting, just to say “Hi” and that she hoped he was having a great day.  This session was also the first I had met Tony, but it didn’t take long to realize that he is most definitely Kassondra’s perfect match.  Tony is quiet and laid back and equally as kind as Kassondra.

Tony and Kassondra, thank you so much for asking me to photograph your wedding next fall! I cannot wait<3

Now that we finally have power and life is returning back to normal after last week’s crazy storm, I can finally share the sneak peek of Kai’s one year session!  I have had so much fun getting to know Kai and his wonderful parents over the past year. I love how sweet and creative Serena and Corey are and there’s no doubt in my mind that Kai’s little personality fits perfectly with theirs.

Thank you guys for coming out and for making such a fantastic smash cake! Not to mention making a kid who REALLY knows how to smash his cake;)  Enjoy the preview!

After having the opportunity to photograph Josh and Tuesdae’s wedding four years ago, life clearly has had it’s way of keeping us on separate paths since this was my first time meeting little Nolan! All three boys pretty much thought that anything would’ve been better than family pictures, but we worked through their stubbornness and got some great shots anyway;)

Josh and Tuesdae, thank you for asking me to shoot these for you. Enjoy your sneak peek!
