MomMom where’s Webbie? MomMom, I can’t find Webbie!

I was 19 and he was 2. And hide-and-seek was his favorite. I was always the one to hide, because he loved the way I would jump out and scare the pants off him when he was seconds away from finding me. His giggling fits were infectious and there was just no way anyone could not fall in love with that little boy.

Fast forward 15 years and here I am shooting his senior session *sigh* The giggly little boy is all grown up and I am definitely feeling a bit old! And even though he can finally pronounce my name, it warmed my heart that he chooses to this day to still call me Webbie.

Austin, I am so proud to say I have known you for so long and it is amazing to see what a great guy you have become. And look at this, just when you thought smiling for your senior pictures you aren’t about that life, take another look ’cause I had a hard time finding favorites that didn’t involve your smile:)  Enjoy your senior year buddy <3Lots of love, Webbie

Okay, so for all you local followers of my blog…I know what you’re thinking.  Where in the heck is Solanco High School? So, for you Mainers, Solanco is in Pennsylvania. See, I had promised a very close family friend that I would indeed be doing his senior session this summer when we went for a visit. Turns out his best friend scheduled a session too:)

So first up is Alex…the best friend.

And in the spirit of best friends, Alex brought along his adorable pup, Buddy. Photographing Buddy was a challenge (to say the least) but we managed to make it work:)

I loved getting the opportunity to meet Alex. And I love that his personality kind of sneaks up on you….kind of quiet and reserved, but then this sort of over confident young man comes creeping out when you least expect it.

Alex, it was great meeting you and your mom…and Buddy too, of course. Enjoy every second of your senior year (full gallery will be ready soon!)

Five years ago, he grabbed a few friends and a bite to eat at a local pub. She was their waitress. His waitress. His friends left his number on the back of the check for her to find. Nerves got the best of her and she didn’t call. How easy it could have been for their story to end right there! But Lee was persistent and sent her a Facebook message. Luckily, Emily discovered they had a mutual friend and arranged a casual meeting over a glass or two of wine. That was just the beginning of their happily ever after.

Lee had just one wish for their wedding day. The most important was that “Emily is happy and has everything the way she wants it.” Emily’s wish was that everyone had fun. So, as the guys headed out for a morning round of golf, Emily and her bridesmaids had their own bit of downtime at Bath Hair, Inc. The girls were stunning as I met up with them for the rest of their prep at The Inn at Brunswick Station. And how fun was it to play delivery-gal as the bride and groom had gifts for each other?!

I seriously fell in love with these shoes….although I am pretty sure my uncoordinated self could never in a million years pull them off. It’s best to leave such things to brides like Emily who are nowhere near lacking in the grace department.

Armed with her gorgeous bouquet courtesy of Passion Flower Farm and a whole new kind of nerves, Emily was ready to meet up with Lee for their First Look on the nearby Bowdoin Campus.

Emily and Lee also opted to have the rest of their formal portraits done prior to the ceremony (which I cannot recommend enough). We had lots of time for lost of different family groupings and the perfect amount of time for fun and really relaxed bridal party photos.

As soon as portraits were done, it was just a quick walk across the street to move into the ceremony.

…and then across the street once more to The Inn at Brunswick Station to get the real party started, with amazing food catered by the Inn and the perfect blend of music and entertainment by DJ Jim Smith.

Emily and Lee, I hope your day was everything you dreamed it would be and more. I am so honored you asked me to be a part of it. Here’s to many many many years of more love and happiness than you can ever imagine<3

Just a few weeks ago, I got a very exciting email to schedule a newborn session just two weeks before this little guy’s due date. And I say exciting because the last time I photographed this family was during middle sister Elliana’s newborn session!

Amanda has got to be one of the craftiest mommies I have ever met, so there was no denying some adorable sibling shots with the custom tees she crafted for all three kiddoes (and of course a handcrafted, designer bow for Elli)

stroutkidsstudio Reid: newborn sessionAnd just in case you didn’t know, I can be a tad crafty too….which really adds something unique to all my newborn sessions. Every newborn I shoot not only gets to model one of my crocheted hats, but they keep it as well.  Reid was just adorable in his owl hat made just a bit too big so that it will last him into this fall/winter:)
