Hannah and Matt’s wedding definitely featured the largest of bridal parties I have photographed yet. And not gonna lie, I was a little bit scared. But not for long.

With great personalities like this, I knew we were all going to get along just fine:)

Monday sillies: sassiness at its finest:)

Happy Monday!!

This session was scheduled for Amanda, Adam and their kiddoes. Nope, I wasn’t surprised at all when Amanda called and added a few more family members:)

These guys are definitely one of my all-time favorites to shoot.  I love how much they all love each other. I love how loud they all are. And I totally love how much they laugh. The happiness is just contagious. Don’t believe me? I dare you to not smile at this sneak peek!

The sneak for this session is a little overdue, so what better time than now to share?

When Mom contacted me to schedule this session, her schedule sounded as crazy as mine:)  Of course, this just made me even more excited to meet the little personalities that helped to fuel the events of the family calendar.

Logan + Mason + Alyson : sibling rivalry

Logan is the oldest and sort of shy (well, at least to me). And even though Mom mentioned that he could use a haircut, I just adore these curls!

Then there is Mason. Also a bit quiet…but in a definite up-to-something sort of way icon wink Logan + Mason + Alyson : sibling rivalry

Last but not least. Alyson. The “baby” and the only girl.  And yes. The diva:)

It was great to meet all of you and I hope you got to back to the woods already and explore more just like Mom promised!!

Kelsey: class of 2012

October 25, 2011

They never surprise me. Late season high school seniors. Procrastination at its finest. But I LOVE ‘em!!  Mostly since I can throw the craziest of ideas at them and they feel too guilty to not to go along with it:)

But this laid back girl was a different story….and not just ’cause I have known her for a few years now. Nope. Without any prompting from me, she chose one of my favorite locations to shoot in. Aaaannnnd…really? Would you say no to spending an hour or so shooting the gorgeousness that is Kelsey?

Kate and Chad’s ceremony and reception both took place at the gorgeous Maple Hill Farm Bed and Breakfast in Hallowell.

This is also where Kate and Chad arranged for their first look.

Kate and Chad planned every part of their day to make every single one of their guests feel like they were an important part of the day. Rather that a unity candle, the couple chose to do a sand mixing ceremony filling the base around an adorable mini bonsai. And just to take it one step further, they asked their guests to add small tokens to the sand as well.

Wait a minute? Kate and Chad? Yep, these ones featured here not so long ago!

Secretly, or not-so-secretly, Kate and Chad were technically married exactly one year ago from the date they planned their “real” wedding. And the “real” wedding? Just beautiful *sigh*

The girls began their morning at Kate’s sister’s yoga studio, Panacea, where Sue had left a special “yogi” message for her sister.

The whole morning was all about relaxation. From the location to the mimosas….

…to some yoga instruction.

And for just a little more fun, the girls from I Do Spas were on hand not only for hair and make up, but mani-pedis too!

So, while the girls were busy with their final touches, I sent Rod over to hang out with Chad and little Gianni for a bit. Gianni was a bit grumpy, but started to come around after a bit.

It has taken me forever to get some peeks going on of some of our recent weddings…which means there is sure to be some wedded bliss both this week and next:)  This also means that with such an important day there are a million different emotions, which unsurprisingly leads to some great silly moments.

First off, weddings can be stressful and to ease the tension most brides add a little champagne to their morning OJ. Kate, on the other hand, opts for the entire bottle!

And, if you are under the age of ten and involved in the wedding party, the day can be quite entertaining and exciting. But at the moment it starts to feel dull, you create your own entertainment.

Happy Monday everyone!!

Sarah

October 15, 2011

Every once in awhile I will host some sort of fun contest and about a year ago on facebook, Miss Sarah was lucky enough to win a free session with me…and boy did she work for it. I swear she was stalking all of her friends until they got her where she needed to be in the contest. She wanted this bad:) So here we are…finally…about a year later…getting around to actually shooting her session!

Sarah is one of the sweetest people I know.

 Sarah

Oh, and she’s crazy talented too. Remember those “magic” Jojos? Yep, she is the creator:)

 Sarah

But the biggest reason Sarah had scheduled this session was to have some images for her Treasures of Faith blog. If ever you find yourself questioning your faith, hers is definitely a story worth reading.

 Sarah

Sarah, thanks for braving the crispy, early morning with me and I hope you love these as much as I do:)
