I love, love, love this family! I have known Shehab and Angela since before Cameron and Ethan were….well, before they were Cameron and Ethan. Angela is one of the sweetest people I have ever met, and I am thoroughly convinced that her personality is what keeps these boys somewhat grounded. And yep, if they look a bit familiar to you, that’s because you did in fact see them right here almost a year ago!

When Angela contacted me for this year’s session, she had one request: the beach! Lucky for her I have been dying to do a beach session and it just so happened the weather cooperated a teensy bit this week. No rain, but not a single one of us had the foresight to pack a sweatshirt. So off we went freezing our tushies off to make some memories:)

Now the boys really haven’t changed much at all either. Shehab still whines about having photos done and they boys are …well…boys. Cameron and Ethan were determined to give me a workout. Those two are FAST!

While Cameron has a tad more patient and a bit photogenic like his mom…

…Ethan would run the second he heard the shutter click. Good thing he has those gorgeous eyelashes:)

Before I even got to the beach, I knew there was a pose from our last session that I wanted to do a bit of a take on. So, this is what we came up with.

Before I leave you with a few more images “F” family, I want to thank you guys for sticking it out in the cold.  You guys are so stinkin’ cute and I look forward to many more future sessions with you <3

Okay, so this wedding is a bit of DIY overload. Or as Adam calls it….Hillarified. Seriously, Hillary is beyond amazing when it comes to creative talents and no boring old tissue box is safe in her presence:) Every bit of who Hillary and Adam are went in to the planning of this wedding and it definitely shows. You know it is DIY to the extreme when the bride raids her mom’s flower garden hours before her wedding to build one of the most gorgeous bouquets I have ever seen. Oh, and be sure to check out the adorable dress from Unique Vintage that the bride paired with a pink petticoat and perfectly matched pink shoes:)

The entire day took place at Hillary’s parents amazing home in Kingfield, Maine. The estate, complete with the cutest Christmas tree farm (with a few Hillarified touches of course), private wine cellar (filled with homemade wine) and some of the cutest nephews ever!

The ceremony was short and sweet and just how Hillary and Adam wanted it. Just their closest family gathered to witness their love and share in every minute of their day.

The quaint location and short ceremony also made for smooth sailing  when it came to stealing the bride and groom away for a few quick portraits. So after a quick dose of “Love Potion #9″ we headed into the Christmas tree farm for a little fun.

After portraits and some delicious hors d’ouevres courtesy of Fiona Cooks, everyone gathered on the porch for more amazing goodies by Fiona.

Following dinner and toasts was the cake part of the evening….and since this is Maine, Wicked Whoopies had been called in to get the job done:)

Post dinner dancing consisted of the bride and groom cranking the iPod and inviting all of their guests to join them on the lawn <3

The “real” dancing will take place this Sunday, as Hillary and Adam managed to make their wedding last nearly a full three weeks. The day following the ceremony, they hopped on a plane and have spent the last two weeks enjoying the Bahamas. This weekend will mark the big reception part of this wedding as a bigger group of friends and family gather to join in the celebration. (all revealed in part 2)

Okay, the flu is officially out of this house and we are back in business…so here is your part 2 (finally).  There were so many little fun things about Jess and Caleb’s wedding that making the final decision as to what would make the blog was nearly painful ;P  So the tough choices have been made. And without further ado, here is part 2:)

I woke up yesterday morning feeling as if a huge weight had been lifted off my shoulders.  Let me tell you, there is no greater feeling than that!  Well, maybe there are a few, but this one was definitely welcome. Realizing I had been in a bit of a funk lately, I knew things had to change.  I think the biggest part of my stress was just trying to finish up a couple of my classes before the summer break. For whatever reason, I struggled a bit this session and it affected my stress level far more than it should have. Add to that every person in this house getting the flu bug (one per day)!

In any case, classes wrapped up Saturday and since my hubby is out of town, I spent a few hours hanging out with my Dad yesterday. A break from school, two more days till the hubs returns, sunshiney weather and a great afternoon with my dad. Really, I couldn’t ask for more. So I just gotta say, I have a pretty amazing dad and yes, my husband is an awesome dad as well. I am so thankful for having them both in my life and proud to call some other amazing dads my friends.

So Happy (belated) Father’s Day dads….and may you all be as silly as mine;)

Monday sillies: in honor of all the great dads I know

This past weekend, I had the pleasure of shooting the first part of Hillary & Adam’s wedding(the ceremony and reception are to take place on two separate dates). The real sneak peek will follow soon, but I just had to share a little fun to brighten your Monday morning.

The ceremony part of Hillary and Adam’s wedding was held at Hilary’s parents gorgeous home in Kingfield, Maine. Now, I absolutely adore this house but couldn’t help but notice that there sure were a lot of dead animals hanging about. And by a lot, I mean everything from a porcupine to an otter to a turkey! Apparently, Hillary’s uncle is an avid hunter and had asked her parents to sort of babysit their animals during a move. That was at least six years ago, and Hillary’s mom has decided she kind of likes the little critters and they will be staying.

So while Hillary was busy with her makeup, I thought I would have a little fun capturing some details. Thus the possum hangin by his tail adorned this beautiful custom necklace created by Hillary’s friend Kathryn, and the fox was just begging to try on the garter:)

Monday sillies: not for the faint of heart

I know it says Jessica AND Caleb up there, but here’s a little secret….no Caleb here today.  Part one is all about a bunch o’details and spending the morning with a beautiful bride.  Don’t worry, you will most definitely be meeting the handsome groom in part two!

I really love me some DIY adventures and Jessica and Caleb’s wedding had so many great and personal touches that it made their day most definitely unique to them. They spend a lot of time on the lake and outside, so even hosting their celebration at Winthrop’s YMCA camp was a perfect reflection of their style. Yes, this wedding was so DIY that on the very morning of her wedding, Jess and her bridesmaids were busy arranging and assembling all the bouquets and the boutonnieres themselves!

Once the flowers were done, it was time for a few mimosas and some beautification at Split Endz in Manchester followed by makeup and a moment or two to breathe as Jess slipped into her gown at the Quality Inn. The bridal prep is one of my favorite parts of a wedding day as the bride spends a few hours just really taking in every moment with some of her favorite people in the world.

It has been nice to have almost a full week of amazing weather and we were so thankful that the rain subsided at just the right moment for our Memorial Day weekend wedding. Of course, there are things to consider with that…such as a bit of humidity on a drizzly day makes the mosquitoes a little crazy.  My husband grabbed this shot as we were working on some fun portraits with the bridal party….

…and since the sun IS shining, I think I will give you all a double dose of silliness:) Plus, I promised Libby she would be a part of a Monday post….since she asked so nicely….and worked really hard on those pearly whites…
